Stories With Friends Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Stories With Friends account and associated personal information at any time.

Delete your account in the app

Open Stories With Friends, go to your profile and select the account deletion option. Follow the instructions shown in the app.

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing us from the email address associated with your Stories With Friends account.

Information that will be deleted

When your verified deletion request is completed, your account and associated personal information will be deleted. This includes:

• Your Stories With Friends account and sign-in access
• Your username
• Your email address
• Your authentication credentials
• Your country information
• Your profile information
• Your active chains
• Your moderated chains
• Your chain turns
• Your friend connections and friend requests
• Your invitations and notifications
• Your bookmarks, preferences and reading progress
• Other private information associated with your account

Completed stories

Completed stories will remain available after your account is deleted. This ensures that completed stories, including stories created with other users, are not removed for the remaining participants or readers.

Your username, email address, profile details and account identifier will be removed from retained completed stories. Your contribution may instead be shown using an anonymous attribution such as Deleted User.

Advertising for non-Pro users

The free, non-Pro version of Stories With Friends may display advertisements. Pro users will not be shown these advertisements.

Advertising providers may collect or process limited information, such as your device advertising identifier, approximate location, device information and interactions with advertisements. This information may be used to display advertisements, measure advertising performance and prevent advertising fraud.

Where advertising information is linked directly to your Stories With Friends account, that link will be removed when your account is deleted. Some information may remain with third-party advertising providers in accordance with their own privacy and data-retention policies.

You can manage or reset your device advertising identifier through your device privacy settings.

Information that may be retained

Limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary for:

• Security and fraud prevention
• Investigating reported content or misuse
• Meeting legal or regulatory obligations
• Establishing, exercising or defending legal rights
• Normal encrypted backup-retention processes

Any retained information will only be kept for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.

Processing time

Verified deletion requests will normally be processed within 30 days. We may contact you if additional information is required to verify or complete the request.
